Still Ground To Cover: By Laurisa Guillaume, Clark Atlanta University

On February 19, 2020, I attended an event hosted by the World Affairs Council of Atlanta, titled “From Sit-Ins To Hashtags.” The event took place of the National Museum of Civil and Human Rights and featured a panel discussion with James Woodall, the President of the Georgia chapter of the NAACP as well as Taos Wynn, the President and Founder of Millennial Civil Rights.

From the conversation that took place I learned that there is still ground to cover as it pertains to civil and human rights. It is now up to me and my counterparts to be well informed, and build coalitions to make change.
